Test Week

Get excited – coming up next week will be a full slate of benchmark style workouts. Benchmark WOD’s are, well, benchmarks, so the idea here is to give ourselves a measuring stick to accurately gauge our improvement. And of course measurement is only as good as what you’re measuring against, so this week will be the test, and then down the road (week of August 28) will be the re-test.

We want for you to be able to work on what you want to, so without further ado, here’s what’s on tap for next week. Keep in mind that you almost certainly can’t do all of them, so pick a few, and make sure you do the same ones come the re-test. Happy testing!

Snatch: 135#, with superlatively atrocious technique.

    WOD: 7:48, Rx.

    Ugh.

Snatch: 125# (Missed 135 about seventy times)

Pumped for next week…now only have to decide which WODs to do. Decisions, decisions…

Snatch @ 165# – Tried to focus on technique which is still beautifully ugly.

    WOD:
    8:02 w/ Knees to Elbows.

Won’t lie…it’s a bit hot at the nooner, but on a good note…

WE LISTENED TO AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT RADIO STATION, TEGO CALDERON! Nice change. Don’t let Noah push you around regarding the radio…unless, of course, he is literally pushing you around since at that point he owns you.

@Sam: I think the adjective you are looking for is “beautifugly”

I TOTALLY wanted to include bicep curls in the OTM this morning, ask Pat D and Jenn Jones!!!!

  12. Sam 31 May 2012 at 4:43 pm permalink

What’s wrong with bicep curls? If there is one flaw with CrossFIt it’s that there is not enough calf raises, bicep curls, or strict ab exercises.

That’s why I recommend doing p-90X to subsidize CrossFit, right Noah?

I once saw Andrew ask someone to leave the gym if they did another bicep curl. You have been warned!
